International Day of Peace: CEPEJ Warri Office Collaborates with Search for Common Ground to Mark Event
An international not-for-profit civil society organization, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice (CEPEJ) with offices in Delta, Kano and Lagos States, as well as the FCT Abuja, is set to join the world to celebrate the World Peace Day, a day set aside by the United Nations for that purpose.
The event is slated for 24th of September, 2019 at Uvwie Community Town Hall, opposite PTI Campus along PTI Road Effurun, Uvwie LGA of Delta State at 10:00am.
Comrade Daniel Ezekiel, a Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa; the Chairman of Kids & Teens Self Esteem School Performing Arts; P4P Delta State; and Uvwie Local Government Education Secretary, will give goodwill messages at the event.
Meanwhile, CEPEJ's Programmes Manager in Warri, Mr. Samuel Ideh will be delivering a lecture on Study Habits and Carrier Awareness, Mr. Doubra Patrick Bodifigha, Programmes Officer on Environment will speak on the effects of Climate Change on the Environment, while Rita Ehimen, the Corporate Communications Manager will be speak on the topic Cultism and its Effects on Academics. An official of Africa Network for Environment and Economic Justice (ANEEJ) will speak on Peace and Climate Change.
The National Coordinator and CEO of Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, Comrade Sheriff Mulade, while interacting with newsmen at CEPEJ Head Office in Warri, implored the general public to join hands with by the NGO to mark the occasion, adding that peace is always beneficial and peace is a virtue worth fighting to sustain.
