CEPEJ in collaboration with Givefood.ng distributes palliatives to vulnerable people in Delta State

As part of humanitarian support to poor and vulnerable individuals living in Delta State, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, in collaboration with Givefood.NG on Friday April 30, 2021 Kick-start the distribution of food items worth millions of naira to over 8 communities in 5 LGA’s in Delta state.

Those who benefited from the food distribution were the elderly, physically challenged, and those living below poverty line. The food distribution was aimed at reducing and eradicating poverty from the society. The first phase of distribution which was done on Friday April 30, 2021 covered Okpe and Ugolo communities in Okpe LGA, Delta State.

Beneficiaries of the program were very glad and expressed joy over what was received. While addressing the beneficiaries during the distribution, Chief (Comrade) Sheriff Mulade said, the program is scheduled to cover 6 LGA’s, Okpe, Warri South, Ovwie, Udu, Warri South West and Patani LGA’s and will help to reduce hunger in Delta State.
