Ahead of World Peace Day Celebration, Center for Peace and Environmental Justice, CEPEJ, Visits UN Information Center in Lagos...

...Seeks Collaboration for Successful Event..

The CEPEJ team was led by the NGO's Corporate Communications and Advocacy Manager, Mrs. Victoria Ajayi, and the Center was commended for its efforts towards ensuring sustainable peace in Nigeria and other African countries.

The CEPEJ team noted that the collaboration with the United Nations Information Center was established to further strengthen the NGO's relationship with the UNIC and its agencies in Nigeria, now and in the future.

In the meeting with the Director of UNIC, who was represented by Mrs. Bolanle Olumeko, a Senior Staff of the organization, CEPEJ sought UNIC's collaboration in organizing the event. The UNIC Director agreed to present the inaugural speech at the event, and promised that the UNIC would provide CEPEJ Lagos Office with banners, a projector, a video clip of a speech by the United Nations Secretary-General, Mr. Antonio Guterres, a video clip of songs on the Sustainable Development Goals, and placards on the Sustainable Development Goals, for students participation.

Gladdened by the UNIC's promise, the CEPEJ team noted that such support would open up a Vista of opportunities for the NGO during and after the event.
